New York City!

I just got back from New York where I attended a wedding of my cousin Tina. The Catholic Ceremony took place is Maspeth, Queens and the Reception was at the Woodbury Country Club on Long Island.

It was beautiful and a lot of food to boot. The cocktail hour was filled with all kinds of appetizers including a Polish station with perogies and sausage, an Italian station with pasta's galore, a fish station with Lobster, clams and shrimp. They also had a covered tent with shrimp cocktail, antipasta, and all sorts of cheeses. Plus waiters came around with a variety of other app's.

The reception took place indoors with martini's and red as the theme. Absolutely beautiful. It was a 3 corse dinner with ravioli as the appetizer, if we didn't have enough, salad and entree choice of chicken, steak or filet of sole. Then an ice cream filled pastry and cake for dessert.

It was an open bar and they also had a after dinner liquor station equipted with chocolate shot glasses.

What a night. Go see some of the pictures from the wedding at photos.weddindesignsbydebbie.com

The Wilson and Hall Wedding

The wedding was great! The couple was adorable. Jimmy and Jessica were an absolute pleasure to work with. They let me do what I do best, manage, organize and execute the wedding.

It took place at Montgomery Bell State Park in Burns, TN (just outside Dickson). The part is beautiful. It was a hot day and their is no air in the chapel. But it was a quick ceremony filled with 9 grandparents, 8 in the wedding party, 3 dads and 2 moms. Oh yeah, don't forget the flower girl and ring bearer. So it was a little stuffy in the chapel.

After the ceremony the Photographer Jay Rummage got the pictures done in stellar time. I went back to the reception hall and lit candles, got the DJ ready and placed the bubbles on a table. Each guest took bubbles and formed two lines. We did a recession line first with bubbles. It was so cute. Then the couple had their first dance, then dad #1, then mom and son and then dad #2.

It was great! Everyone ate and they cut the cake, which was delicious.

All in all, my feet hurt a lot, but it was well worth it.

Congrats Jimmy and Jessica!

Wedding Designs by Debbie is Running!

Well, I can't believe I did it. I have been dreaming of this moment for a really long time and now I am doing it. I just want to first thank everyone who said that I wasn't crazy. Everyone has been so supportive and I am so lucky to have people in my life like you.

Next up, I have a wedding this weekend. It is Jimmy Wilson and Jessica Hall. They are getting married on Sunday at Montgomery Bell State Park. This is really exciting for me. I will be directing the rehearsal, ceremony and reception. I have never met the couple by have met their mom. She was my Wedding Planning teacher and I will be getting my certificate after the wedding. How exciting!

I have another wedding in New York in July.

Hopefully there will be more to come soon!
